Madelyn Hershberger, LPC

 

Madelyn is a warm and compassionate counselor with a desire to provide a safe environment where clients feel freedom to be completely themselves. Madelyn believes that each person is a complex and unique individual and strives to deeply understand each client and partner with them on their individual journey. She desires to help clients gain insight into how past experiences have shaped them, a sense of healing and peace in the present, and the ability to work towards the future they envision.

Utilizing a strengths-based and client-centered approach along with evidence-based treatment modalities including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Madelyn will work to meet you where you are at and tailor the counseling experience to meet your unique needs.

Madelyn has been providing therapy in a variety of settings since 2018. She holds her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri. She works with adults and adolescents ages 14 and up who are experiencing depressive symptoms, navigating grief and loss, trauma, difficult relationships, challenging life transitions, identity and self-image issues, and those striving to work through anxiety and build confidence. She has a special interest in helping women navigate the postpartum period and individuals adjusting to parenting or caretaking roles. Madelyn is an artist with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from Kansas State University and she has a passion for encouraging clients to find creative outlets for self-expression. She believes that nurturing creativity, and spending time in nature can be therapeutic.
