Alexandria Fortenbery

Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor

Being a human is tough and life can get really heavy at times, but you definitely don’t have to go through it alone. If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself, Alexandria offers a space to help you process these complicated feelings and find a way forward. Moving forward can feel scary and uncomfortable, and in that discomfort is where the changes will happen.

Alexandria works individually with clients ages 14 years and older, and while comfortable working with a variety of concerns, her primary areas of interest include: grief and loss, anxiety, depression, trauma, mood and personality disorders, life transitions, and chronic illness. Her eclectic approach is uniquely tailored to each individual client and pulls from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as incorporating mindfulness skills throughout treatment.

A genuine and empathetic relationship between a client and therapist is key to fostering growth and empowerment in every client. Together, you and Alexandria will create a path that appreciates the truth of your past while remaining soft and open to the hope of your future. Alexandria is excited to walk alongside you through this journey and offer you tools to carry on your way forward.
