Kaitlyn Lickteig is a Licensed Professional Counselor providing individual therapy to adults and teens ages 16 and up. She holds a Masters degree in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Kaitlyn is provisionally licensed in both Kansas and Missouri.

Since 2010, Kaitlyn has served adults, children, adolescents, and families in various outpatient settings, such as community mental health centers, hospital system-behavioral health, academic/university campus and child welfare agency settings. Kaitlyn utilizes a patient-centered and collaborative approach to assist patients in managing and experiencing relief from mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, difficult life/stage adjustments, and relationship concerns. Kaitlyn has specific interests in young adult and women’s issues in addition to working with adolescent/student athletes. Kaitlyn is an active LGBTQ+ ally and welcomes patients of all backgrounds, cultures, and ethnicities.

In addition to her patient-centered approach, Kaitlyn draws knowledge, techniques and interventions from Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment, as well as Narrative and other therapies/theories to achieve the best course of treatment possible for each patient. She is also prone to incorporating humor, warmth, and nerdy references in her work with patients.
